i won a little give-away a while back.

diana, from our.city.lights, informed me a few weeks ago that i'd won an ambush give-away!
i never win ANYTHING, so i was quite excited :)

naomi rose takes absolutely beautiful and emotional pictures, and it was so hard to pick just one polaroid from her Instant Gratification set on flickr, but i landed at this one, below.
it just makes me feel calm and happy . . . so much, in fact, that i hung it on my wall above my computer desk, to give me inspiration while i'm editing photos, blogging, writing, etc.
she also filled the adorably-decorated envelope with paper hearts and a cute little note from her :) such a sweetheart. check out her flickr page, seriously!
and while you're at it, check out the our.city.lights blog as well! you will fall in love with all of the inspiring interviews, diana's wonderful writing, hauntingly beautiful photographs and her intriguing outlook on life!

thanks naomi rose and diana!

well, tomorrow is the last day of the month (at work), so i will be totally slammed! well, until about 2 p.m., then lee and i are off to southern utah to photograph a wedding taking place on saturday! wish us luck!

dying to own a place to put these things . . . that i'm also dying to own.

ooohhhh, someday.

grandma and grandpa's new kitchen.

aunt penny, this is for you! :)

and since my family members have ALL been dying to see their new kitchen . . .

here are some photos!
my grandpa inlaid this granite countertop into the wood. i think it's so pretty!
my grandparents recently remodeled their kitchen. i think it looks just fantastic, they are so talented and i am so impressed by their work.
my grandpa dave is amazing with woodwork. he did the floor and countertops. he's also the amazing creator of my beautiful desk.

i have some more awesome pictures from torrey, but they are on my laptop (which is what i took with me). it's so frustrating switching between these two computers! i will get around to posting them eventually.

goodnight!

little princess.

this little girl was the most adorable thing ever. lee thought it would be fun to take her out to play, and maybe sneak in some photos in the process :)

she was so cute, we just followed her around a dandelion field while she picked the flowers, smelled other flowers, told us stories, sang us songs, and showed us some of her awesome ballet moves. then we went to look for ducks on a beautiful bridge overlooking the river.
lee is a genius director of photography, and she knows just how to handle darling little kids like this. lee, you're the best business partner i could ask for!

isn't she darling?!?

i apologize for not posting a "torrey-day two" post. i ended up getting sick on day two. i do have some fun pictures of a bunch of ginormous buffalo, as well as pictures of the most delicious breakfast ever to show you!
the trip was just the break i needed (other than the getting sick part, but my grandparents know just how to take care of me. i love you guys, you're the best!).
i will try to get those other pictures posted soon!

have a terrific night everyone!

torrey-day one (saturday).

well, torrey started out being pretty rainy, but that didn't stop us from doing some exploring.
saturday morning, we woke up and grandma made us waffles, bacon, coffee . . . the whole bit, and it was delicious!  she always spoils us :)

after that, we drove out to capital reef national park and went to the gifford farm to visit this cute little gift-shop/historical trading post.
