i have the cutest dad . . .

on friday, he came home from work with a white box.

me being the curious person that i am, asked what was in the box.

"oh, cupcakes for mom."

"oh, what for?"

"just because"

"does she know you got them?"

"nope. i thought they'd come in handy for her long drive tomorrow."

aww, he's so sweet! :)

so i had to take pictures, of course!

she was so pleased with her surprise!

*sigh*

oh so happy for the weekend :)

tonight, i have a softball game, and then tomorrow, i plan to get a lot done!

i have no photo-shoots this weekend, so that will

give me the chance to get some personal projects taken care of,

get my room and computer area organized,

and work on a couple of things regarding the business.

i will try to do a fun post tomorrow! one filled with pretty pictures.

got to my house, but, turns out, i didn't have it all put away.

whew!

i've had such a busy past few days!

sorry about not posting since friday, oh my goodness! that's not good.

i've had quite a bit of photoshoots in the past month, it's been

hectic, but i've loved it!

with things slowing down just a tad, at least for this week,

i'm hoping to work on a few other projects, just for me, for fun.

i want to include more pictures from my everyday life

on my blog. so, i'm going to be better at that!

i decided, i don't want to look back in 5 years and wonder

why all i have are pictures of other people, right??

i need to start documenting my early twenties, because

i know it's going to go by soo fast.

so, that's my next project :)

more pictures of me and my boyfriend, friends, family . . .

i'm really excited!

yipee! friday is finally here!

although, i say that as if this week has

been dragging on. it really hasn't.

time goes by so fast now days . . .

slightly depressing, eh?

i've been SUPER busy this summer, but it's

felt great. i feel very accomplished and

so happy that things are picking up with

photography.

i also want to thank all of you who leave nice comments

on my posts :) it truly means a lot ot me

to have feedback. not just for the confidence boost,

but to see that people actually care about me

and support what i'm doing.

it just pushes me to want become better

and better, knowing people are keeping track

of my progress.

and a big thanks to lee for all of your

assistance and brilliant ideas

for these shoots! you rock!

well, tonight, another softball game.

tomorrow, i will be at another openhouse for

the little princess bowtique, and then

a family-reunion at lagoon (basically the only

amusement park we have in utah).

it will be a hot day tomorrow, i hope i survive!

i also plan on seeing Inglorious Basterds (oh my gosh, i can

barely contain my excitement!!), and then getting lots

and lots of editing done. yeah.

weekends are much too short!

can i also add that i am SO EXCITED FOR FALL!!

i can't wait to wear scarves, cute sweaters, boots,

drink lots of hot coffee and tea (i do that anyway, but it's

more fun when you're cold :)), see the awesome colors of the leaves,

take cool drives up the canyon . . . can't wait.

so does anyone have fun plans for the weekend?

this family was such a sweet family to photograph!

i work with emily (the beautiful mother), and she

happened to stumble upon a picture i took from this shoot, and

she asked if we could take some pictures of her baby girl

in a similar look. of course i jumped at the chance!

how cute are they??

look at this little stud! he was killin' me with how cute and

excited he was with the whole experience.

lee was blowing some bubbles for him and just went nuts!

it's the cutest thing i've ever seen :)

dreaming of pretty workspaces . . .

if you've read my blog for a while, i'm sure you

know that i'm dying to have my own place.

i want to buy a house and furnish and decorate it. or an apartment.

i want a full kitchen to myself, where i can put an

espresso machine out without feeling guilty about taking up

counter space (that's right mom, i said it. hehe, still love you though.).

but mostly, i want entire room that i can use for just a workspace.

right now, i work in the tiny corner of my basement bedroom.

it's a tad depressing. i would like a view of the yard, or the street, or just anything outside.

all i have, currently, is a window-well.

i would love for some natural day-light, and the ability to have the window open

so i can listen to the noises coming from outside, feel the breeze coming in . . .

my job at the mortgage company also has me working in a basement. i have a slightly

better view of the outside, but it's mainly just a fancier window-well.

these offices/workspaces are all so beautiful.

i could spend all day looking up more pictures.

well, tonight, i'll be taking a nice long nap after work, then

i'll get cracking on editing some photoshoots i've had in the past week.

i'm thinking LOTS of coffee is needed.
