i spent the evening creating . . .

i decided that, with all of these photoshoots and events coming up,

that i needed a planner/date book to keep track of everything!

so, i spent my night at home creating a

completely made-from-scratch planner!

somehow, i made a HUGE mess . . .

as soon as things started to come together, i got super excited!

i have these classic martha stewart alphabet cards

with cute animals, their names, and the letter their names begin with . . .

i thought the hedgehog would be cute for fall! :)

not sure why . . . hehe.

i created pages for dates, contacts, and notes/ideas in indesign.

then i created little divider pages for each section . . .

and i made this little pouch in the back for business cards :)

and, the final result!

(i know, the pictures aren't too great.  by the time i finished, it was midnight and
i have a basement bedroom . . . so.  artificial light.  sorry peeps! i'm so ashamed  . . . )

hello lovely people!

any fun plans this weekend?

i have a softball game tonight, as per usual, then, i don't know what!

i kind of want to watch nick and norah's infinite playlist.  that movie

just brings me back to last fall, which was a wonderful season :)

tomorrow, i may try to squeeze in a mini-shoot with chloe and lee

to push for a fall-promo we're workin on, and maybe a latte

at the sundance lodge up the canyon . . . mmmm.

i will be sure to post pictures from tomorrow!

i came home to the most wonderful surprise today!

diana of our.city.lights (one of my favorite daily reads) 

sent me the sweetest little care-package :)

with care . . .

there is just something about it that just

pulls me right in . . .

then there were all of these cute little extras inside!

today, i was feeling a little bit down.

just dumb business things, trying to figure everything out, feeling a 

little bit lost on it all . . .

i decided to just go out to my yard and take

some pictures for fun, and forget about business for a few hours.

the way the sun was shining through my neighbors trees

was just so fantastic . . .

then (and this is really lame) i decided

to take a few pictures of ME.

because i'm just about the most awkward 

person in front of a camera, and i rarely post pictures of myself.

so. here's me.

hello all! how has your weekend been?

i would love to say i took lots of pictures documenting

what i did.. but i didn't :( in fact, i didn't pick up

a camera all weekend.

and, i must say, it's been an awesome week

just taking a break from the camera.

don't get me wrong! i looooove my camera

and i still love photography of course.

i've just needed a little bit of a break

to get my head together. and it's been looovely :)

on friday night, i played in a softball game (we won!), then, i

hung out with jeremy for a little bit, then fell asleep rather early.

on saturday, i was having one of those days where you decide

you hate ALL of your clothes, and your car, and your room,

and you need SOMETHING to shake things up . . .

to cure this, for me, i went and got a pedicure, then i treated myself to some new fall clothes

and a new hairdo. i feel so much better. after that, i went to see jennifer's body with

jeremy, and it was actually quite good! i really did like it. it was funny, quirky,

and a bit scary. makes me excited for halloween!

anyway.

this week, i want to make some plans for fall marketing.

any locals need holiday, family, senior pictures, etc??

since i don't have any pictures to post today, i will leave a link for

oh this breaks my heart

my friend mckenna sent me a message about this on facebook today . . .

this poor girl, holli, is about my age and is suffering unimaginable health problems

associated with fibromyalgia, and it has pretty much taken over her life.

she and her family are to the point where they are unable to cover her healthcare costs by themselves.

i've looked at holli's personal blog and her blog documenting her illness this morning . . . and she's such a cute, sweet girl, fighting this has hard as she can.

please have a read and donate what you can! she's really in need of some outside help!

it was a very pretty wedding.

reasons to be happy:

i carry a point-and-shoot camera with me constantly.

with that camera, i captured all of these unplanned moments.

i highly recommend keeping one in your bag, purse, pocket, whatever!

it's nice to just be able take a picture when

inspiration strikes, or something wonderful suddenly happens!

some things that make me happy right now:

photographing saturday's wedding with lee! she's the best!!

random self-portraits. just because.

my nifty phone. keeps me on organized and on top of things!

coffee truly can be liquid sunshine some days :)
